Gordon More

Gordon More

Executive Director – Southeast TechHub

In 2006, Gord helped to found IDS Internet Dispatch Services Ltd (IDS). He was President and a Director until his retirement in 2022.

IDS came to market as one of the first cloud-based SaaS systems to the Delivery, Final Mile and Logistics Industries. In 2007, IDS worked with RIM and their Blackberry Curve to create one of the first mobile apps that could use real GPS to track a phone’s location.

IDS quickly expanded into the US and Australian markets as a leader in chain of custody shipments, including providing one of the first final mile Reserve Logistics solutions. IDS now counts some of the largest corporations such as CVS, McKesson, Philip Morris and Rothmans, Benson and Hedges as their customers.

Since retiring from IDS, Gord has been turning, what was, a part time career as a videographer into a full time profession. Highlights include credits for underwater footage used by National Geographic and a video creation for the Howe Sound UNESCO World Biosphere Zone. Currently, Gord is working on a documentary about the first Residential School case in Canada.

Gord is also passing on his hard-earned knowledge on innovation and technology as the Executive Director of the Southeast Techhub in Estevan. Highlights include hosting Dr. Eric Grimson, Chancellor of MIT from 2011 to 2014, working with youth towards building a 3 foot talk humanoid robot and helping the next generation of innovators create successful new technology-based companies.
