27 Sep Estevan Innovation Council Postpones Inaugural Innovation Conference & Tradeshow.
The Estevan Innovation Council is announcing the postponement of the inaugural Innovation Conference & Tradeshow. As the 4th COVID wave hits the province and new restrictions come in to play, it has been decided to postpone the event until spring 2022. New dates will be announced in the future after consulting with our speakers and other local organizations.
“We found that a number of our speakers who were planning to travel from out of town, are now no longer able to attend in person, so we decided it would be best to postpone the event until a time when we can have everyone together for the best conference experience.” Explained Chair of the Estevan Innovation Conference, Rebecca Foord
Those who had already purchased tickets for the event will be contacted and refunded in the coming days through the online ticketing system.
“While we are disappointed to have to postpone this exciting event, we wanted to make sure that we can provide an exceptional conference experience for our guests with an impressive lineup of speakers that can present in person.
The Estevan Innovation Conference & Trade Show will shed light on the innovations currently underway in Estevan and neighbouring areas. It will highlight the changes occurring in rural and small-scale urban centers to optimize living and working from Estevan. There are further plans to include the community which will be announced closer to the event.
The Estevan Innovation Council was established in 2020 to develop Estevan as an intelligent community and a rural tech hub. The goal is to inspire, support and sustain the innovation eco-system of Estevan. By providing opportunities for innovation locally, they hope to create a future of economic diversity, opportunity, attraction, and growth for our community.
